Odell, IL
Odell was a railroad town founded in 1884 that became a major depot for the transportation of grain in the early 20th Century. Its early paved portion of old Hwy 4 became a portion of Route 66.
Odell has a well restored 1932 Standard Station.
There also is an underground passageway that was built in 1947 to make crossing the congested Route 66 safer.
