Avoid the Indian Harvest Trading Post. The people who run it are nasty. When I pulled in to take a picture and tell the owners about my Route 66 website, I was met with a violent shouting outrage that nearly came to blows. I have never experienced anything so hostile on Route 66, or anywhere else for that matter. Others on the internet report similar experiences. Local shopkeepers say it has some nice merchandise, but they won't recommend it to travelers for fear they will have the same kind of experience I had.
I just read a review of this place dated March 24, 2022. It said "They assault their guests. Don't ever go there."
St. Clair itself is a pleasant little town of about 5,000 residents. It has two water towers labeled "Hot" and "Cold".
From St Clair stay on South Outer Road, and get on Hwy 47/Commercial Ave - Stay on Commercial Ave and go right with Hwy 30 - Take another right following Hwy 30 and cross I-44 - Go left on Hwy WW/North Outer Road - Stay on North Outer Rd past the Hwy WW turnoff - Cross I-44 at Hwy W and JJ and follow into Stanton.
From St Clair, stay on Commercial Ave - Keep going straight through several Junctions as Commercial Ave becomes to S Outer Rd - Cross I-44 just before the Hwy AH sign and go right on N Outer Rd East - Go across Hwy 50 to Hwy AT - Keep going straight and get on Hwy 100, and follow it into Gray Summit
