Divernon, IL

Divernon is 15 minutes south of Springfield. It was founded in 1887 and named for a character named Di Vernon in Sir Walter Scott's book Rob Roy.
Divernon's main businesses were the Madison Coal Mine No 6 and the Illinois Central Railroad. Neither currently exists in Divernon.

- From Divernon, get on I-55 N
- Get off I-55 at Exit 82
- Go to Hwy 104 and cross under I-55
- Go right onto West Frontage Rd. to Glenarm
