Pacific, MO

October 16, 2023
The Red Cedar Inn, which opened in the mid-1930s, was one of the oldest restaurants along Route 66. The restaurant closed a few years ago. For a while, it housed a used car dealership. Now it is up for sale as a historic Route 66 site.

Pacific has striking rock formations outside of town that have large caves where silica was mined.

Pacific has a sleepy old downtown area with many 19th century buildings, some of whch have been restored.

Great Pacific Pub & Grill is located in an early 20th century brick building. The Third Rail Bar & Grill looks like a good spot. Whiskey River Saloon appears to be closed.
