Bourbon, MO
This Bourbon is in the wrong state, but it claims to be the only town in the country named for bourbon whiskey. It is fameous for its water tower with "Bourbon" proudly displayed.
Bourbon is near Skippy's, which is a biker bar of the Old School variety.
Bourbon also had the Circle Inn, which was family owned since 1955. The food and prices were good, and locals were glad to give you their remembrances about the Route 66 of days gone by. This place doesn't appear to have survived the Pandemic. Hopefully it will reopen now that things are getting back to normal.
Outside of town you will pass by the now closed Bourbon Lodge. It once had a restaurant, cabins and a Phillips 66 station. The restaurant was in a stone building that now serves as a private residence.
