Mesita, NM
Mesita is a small Indian community that has strict rules about trespassing and the taking of photos, especiaally while religious activities are going on.
The ride from Mesita to Laguna is a treat. It winds off of I-40 into the hills, and you will see spectacular red rock vistas as you traverse this windy and hilly road. Local sites on the way to Laguna include an outcropping called Owl Rock and a stretch of road known as Dead Man's Curve.
From Exit 117, go right, then left onto the Frontage Rd toward Laguna - Follow the Frontage Rd through a bunch of curves, and when approaching Laguna, go right onto Hwy 124 into Laguna
From Mesita, follow I-40 to Exit 126 - Follow Hwy 6 to Correro.

Alternate Eastbound Route
From Mesita, get on I-40 and get off at Exit 140 into Rio Puerco - At the end of the Exit bear right through the traffic circle and cross I-40 onto the Frontage Rd.
