Budville, NM

October 16, 2023

You've got to love a town called Budville, especially if you have been riding a motorcycle through the New Mexico dessert.

Budville was the home of the Budville Trading Post, which was opened in 1928 by Bud and Flossie Rice. Bud was murdered when the store was robbed in 1967. Flossie ran it until 1979 when she closed it for good.

There are a couple of good beer joints through here, but the last time I went through they were closed. I guess they didn't survive the Pandemic. Hopefully they will reopen. If they do uts worth a stop.

So, hopefully there will be Bud in Budville if you visit.
