Duarte, CA
Duarte is a clean little town right on the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. It hosts an annual Salute to Route 66 Parade each year on the third weekend of September.
The Route 66 Roadhouse and Ravern is the best Route 66 watering hole in town.
Duarte has a variation on the themes in San Dimas and Glendora, which have banners on their lamp posts honoring their military Heros. Duarte has banners with the names of its recent high school graduates and the colleges they are attending. What a nice way to commemorate their achievements.
It is home of the Justice Brothers Racing Museum. The Justice Brothers sell car care products worldwide and have sponsored dozens of high profile drivers such as A J Foyt.
