Albatross is a bit unique in that it was founded after Route 66 was established. It started out as a bus stop for the Albatross Bus Lines, and at one time, it had six gas stations.
Albatross may be in the middle of nowhere today, but it has the Route 66 Tavern, which is a true biker destination. It sometimes has bands, poker runs and other biker events.
