Rowe, NM
Rowe is a small community along I-25 with a Post Office and a few residences. The early settlers came from Las Ruedas to work on the railroad. ET Padilla's Store and Victory Bar that advertised "Whiskey-Wine-Beer" is long abandoned. Too bad. As the song says "These are a few of my favorite things".
When you leave Rowe toward Pecos, you finally will get away from I-25 and go through some beautiful country on the way to Santa Fe.
On the way from Rowe to Pecos, you will go through Pecos National Historical Park, which has some impressive ruins of a pueblo and mission church. It takes a while to walk through the ruins, but if you like that kind of thing, these ruins are better than most.
From Rowe, cross under I-25 at E T Padilla's abandoned store (I-25 Exit 307) and follow Hwy 63 north to Pecos
From Rowe, stay on the S Frontage Rd to I-25 Exit 319 - Cross I-25 and follow N Frontage Rd to San Juan by the Pecos River Station
